financial peace lesson

So we've been doing the Dave Ramsey financial peace study, and wanted to teach Jenna a little about what we've been learning. Its really just common sense. Make a budget, pay off debt, and save up for things you want to buy. Today we were at the hardware store and saw this bike on sale for $18, I thought it was a really good buy and almost just bought it on impulse for Jenna because it was just her size. I decided instead to teach her about what she can do with all those coins she finds or we give her and puts in her piggy bank. We went home and counted her coins and found that she had more than enough, so we went back to the store and she traded her coins for the bike. She was so proud! And she loves her new bike!

Niki!!! Love the blog. I'll be in Columbia Thursday night through Saturday morning. Ann Soucie will be in town with her husband and five week old baby girl. Maybe we can meet up for lunch on Friday. I realize this might be a busy weekend because of Easter. Call me when you get time. 314.606.7574 Hope to see you, Erin Black ;-)
